“One thing we promise, it’s always about the moose”
We’re a family owned company working in nature experiences. Our main “thing” is moose. It’s our speciality, so to speak.
The park exists so the moose can connect with you. We help by telling their story. People seem to like it.
We also operate a successful campsite and canoe outfitter and we’re always working on something in the background to improve what we do.
It’s that simple. Welcome.
FAQs
Q, Can we bring our dog on the tour?
A, No. Moose dislike dogs. Dogs are not allowed on the tour, ever! If you have a dog think carefully about how you’ll keep them in your car safely so they don’t overheat. Please leave your dogs at home or make sure you have a good set up in place when they are left in your vehicles. We cannot look after dogs and do not offer that option
Q, The tour is sold out, can we just turn up?
A, Bad idea! We’ll strictly keep to the tour group. We have limited spaces and we won’t add more people to the group if it’s already sold out. Please do not drive here hoping we’ll put you on the tour. Our staff will turn away drop in visitors on sold out tours. Review the booking system and reserve places before arriving!
Q, Do you offer private tours for groups outside of already scheduled tours?
A, No. Over the years we have found that, overall, private tours represent too much disruption to our timetable of moose husbandry tasks and don’t make much sense from our perspective. For this reason our policy is NOT to offer any private tours to anyone. Basically, we won’t do private tours.
Q, We don’t want a tour, we just want to see the moose for a short while and take a picture. Can we just pop by and take a look?
A, No. The reality is that unguided tours would create stress for our animals. We will never let people visit our moose without a guided tour. We only run guided tours to see the moose. We will not consider other formats.
Q, Can we just walk around the outside of the park when you’re closed?
A, Please, please do not do that! Over the years we have seen this happen and have challenged people doing so. It causes stress to our animals. They don’t like strangers stalking them from the outside fence. It can cause fear and panic which can result in increased risk of injury or even death. Stay away from the fence. Do not approach the fence. If we are closed then please RESPECT the MOOSE and give them PRIVACY.
